TradeMoves LLC was founded in 2006 to continue serving clients upon the closing of the Washington, DC office of another top customs and regulatory affairs consulting firm. Building on a reputation for achieving commercially-meaningful results, TradeMoves LLC offers cost-effective, high-quality client services to companies and industry associations in their operational and policy issues related to tariffs and customs requirements, regulatory affairs, sourcing opportunities and trade policy advocacy.

Founded by Shawn Marie Jarosz and based in the DC-Baltimore corridor, TradeMoves LLC is ideally situated to access key policy makers, foreign government representatives, agency regulators and trade negotiators. The success of TradeMoves LLC comes in part from its international network of consultants and experts who can access in-market information and provide additional resources on customs, regulatory affairs and regional issues.


Shawn Marie Jarosz
Shawn Marie Jarosz is President of TradeMoves LLC. Her tenure in international trade spans over 15 years managing global and regulatory affairs. She provides day-to-day client support in the removal of trade barriers for multinational companies engaged in the movement of consumer good; monitors proposed regulatory requirements, trade policy initiatives and trade disputes affecting client interests and advises manufacturers on trade strategies to improve market access opportunities for inputs and finished goods.

Before establishing TradeMoves LLC, Shawn was Director of Global Regulatory Affairs for a top consulting firm in Washington, DC which she joined from its U.S.-EU affiliate managing trans-Atlantic trade and public affairs issues for US and European clients. She previously worked for the Washington Affairs office of one of the Big Three U.S. automotive companies monitoring access for American-manufactured automobiles in Japan and U.S.-EU initiatives towards mutual recognition of automotive standards. Prior to that experience, Shawn worked in Moscow, Russia for a major U.S. oil and gas company facilitating commercial exchange programs with the company’s business partners in Russia and the former Soviet Union. She moved into the oil and gas industry from the business–government section of Consular Services at the American Embassy in Moscow.

Shawn is an advisor to the U.S. government on trade issues affecting small businesses and technical issues concerning the movement of food products around the world. She is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker. Shawn received her Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University where she was awarded a Wolcott Fellowship in International Business. She is an active member of the American Association of Exporters and Importers, the Washington International Trade Association, the Association of Women in International Trade, Consumers for World Trade, and the National Association of Women MBAs.
