Brooke Markley joined TradeMoves as Trade Analysis & Strategies Lead in early 2026, bringing deep expertise in international agricultural trade with perspective from the public, private, and non-profit sectors. She works with the TradeMoves team to translate the complexities of trade policy, the regulatory landscape, and market dynamics into clear, actionable insights that support cross-border strategy and market access for various clients.
Previously, Brooke served as Executive Director of the Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association, where she led a major organizational transformation and helped small and medium-sized agribusinesses expand globally, doubling participation and achieving a 20-year record in grant funding utilization. She also built the Trade Compliance Department at Leprino Foods Company, led both trade compliance and policy, and served as Senior Dairy Economist. Earlier, Brooke spent nearly a decade with USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, including four years as Agricultural Attaché in Buenos Aires, advancing U.S. agricultural trade interests across South America. She holds an M.A. in Economics from George Mason University, a B.S. in Agricultural Business with a minor in Spanish from Colorado State University. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala. |
