Expand Market Access
The Opportunity:

As healthy snacks gained popularity around the world, a US manufacturer of nut, nut & fruit, and fruit & grain bars initiated a robust export strategy in 2018.

TradeMoves’ Approach: Global Intelligence & Insights + Sourcing & Supply Chain Strategies

TradeMoves conducted a comprehensive tariff and tax intelligence mapping exercise to better inform our client of the various export opportunities offered through existing US free trade agreements. Their first shipment to Australia was planned for 2019 and the TradeMoves team was asked to help operationalize the US-Australia Free Trade Agreement. We reviewed the products, provided classification for the goods, reviewed origin of the inputs, and helped the export team ensure the goods could qualify for preferential duty-free access into Australia.

The Outcome:

Our
work resulted in their first-ever export shipment into Australia of these US-made healthy snacks which cleared Australian Customs and entered duty-free under the US-Australia Free Trade Agreement in October 2019.
