Lily Baron
International Trade & Sustainability Analyst
Lily joined TradeMoves in June 2022 as an International Trade and Sustainability Analyst. She is currently working on an assessment related to regulatory requirements on sustainability and packaging standards in export markets.
Lily earned a Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law in May 2022. During her studies, she developed a keen interest in international trade law as well as environmental law. In her final year of studies, she worked as a Law Clerk with the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), where a significant portion of her work focused on foreign trade regulation research as well as on the development of legal technical assistance programs related to international trade. |
Prior to her legal studies and time at CLDP, she attended the George Washington University (GW) where she majored in international affairs with concentrations in international development and Africa and minors in history and sociocultural anthropology. While a student at GW, Lily interned for the Peace Corps Office of Inspector General as well as various nonprofit organizations focused on international development, including in the areas of international commerce and supply chain enhancement.
