Maria Boyer
Part-time International Trade Analyst

Maria joined the TradeMoves team in June 2023 as an International Trade Intern. Before joining TradeMoves, Maria worked as an analyst at the search fund, Blue Glass Capital where she contributed to macroeconomic and industrial research efforts, identified potential acquisitions, and conducted comprehensive due diligence and valuation assessments for prospective acquisitions. In this role, she learned about the value of duty drawback schemes for exporting firms to lower costs on inputs sourced from foreign markets. In summer 2022, Maria completed a consulting engagement with the non-profit Hostage US, in which she performed a qualitative analysis of the organization's social media strategy, and recommended projects to enhance traffic to the organization’s website.

She is a senior at American University pursuing a dual major in International Relations and Economics, with a focus on Global Economy and Development.  Her work at Blue Glass Capital inspired her passion to learn more about operational and policy aspects of cross-border trade and to pursue a career path in the field following graduation in spring 2024.
