Sarah's career in international trade began in 2011 working as an export specialist for a chemical manufacturer in Piedmont, SC.
Sarah joined TradeMoves in May 2015 as an International Trade Analyst. Sarah supports tariff-management projects for clients, conducts research on a variety of trade policy issues, assists in the update of export manuals to support US food exports, and monitors changes proposed by governments around the world. Her portfolio includes Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.
Before joining the TradeMoves team, Sarah started her career in international trade in Greenville, SC. In her first professional role she worked for a small chemical manufacturer as an export specialist. She implemented standardized operating procedures and worked across departments to facilitate export compliance. From this role she transitioned into a trade advisory firm as a post-entry specialist/compliance analyst, specializing in import regulations. Here she gained valuable knowledge in regards to US Customs regulations and import requirements necessary to ensure compliant and timely delivery of sensitive shipments. Her expertise in trade operations prepared her well for her position at TradeMoves serving clients' cross-border trade priorities.
Sarah received her Master’s of Science in Sustainability Management from American University and Bachelor’s in Management and International Business, with a Minor in French, from Clemson University. As a native Spanish speaker, her love of languages and culture propelled Sarah to work in the international trade field.
