2012 was a busy year for trade! Below are the top five things our team here at TradeMoves is thankful for this past year:
#5: Three free trade agreements were implemented in 2012 providing US exporters with much-needed tariff reductions in Korea, Colombia and Panama. #4: Russia acceded to the World Trade Organization and the United States granted PNTR to Russia, which means Russia must play by the same trade rules and the United States has resources and tools available to take on Russia if non-compliant. #3: At its halfway point, the National Export Initiative is on track to double US exports in 5 years. #2: Small business exporters continue to lead the charge in selling US-made products to 95% of the world’s consumers living outside our borders. #1: Our TradeMoves team got to work with great companies, stellar organizations, and brilliant trade experts all working to help increase US exports and support US jobs. Wishing you a happy new year filled with export-success.
